Currently, there is a setting called “show engine score”. It’s a very useful setting that gives a number to quantify the position function’s improvement upon executing the recommended move. I suggest a generalization to that. Instead of only showing us the change in position for the app’s recommended move, it should allow us to make any move that we want, and then show us the change in position function based on the move we chose. For example, let’s say we don’t want to make the move the app recommends. How are we supposed to figure out which is the “second best” or “third best” or which move would be the worst possible move? All of these things would be nice to know. And they could be easily provided by the app if the “show engine score” option were expanded to include any move, not just the recommended one.
