  1. Inform checkmates

    Please have the chess engine inform the king has been checkmated when pressing the next move button. Currently, when the King has been checkmated, the engine needlessly tries to compute the next move and ends up displaying "error" message instead of informing user the White or Black King has been checkmated and no further moves are possible.

  2. New Update

    After updating to the new version on 9/12, the chess pieces will not show up on the board. I am using the program on an iPad.

    This has been fixed. I submitted the new version to apple, requested and was granted an expedited review, and the new version (1.2.1) was released about 2 hours ago. The pieces are back!

  3. Can't see pieces

    I cannot view any of the pieces anymore. Using an iPhone 4S. The functions still work and are interactive however the piece sprite is not visible.

  4. Allow users to enter FEN code to setup the chessboard

    When I reach a difficult situation, playing against a computer, I like to get a bit of help from nextchessmove.com -- this tool is AMAZING! especially for a player at my level (ranking 750) I find it, however, very tedious to drag-and-drop pieces around when I first want to set up the board. I wouldn't mind just typing in the FEN code (e.g. FEN 2k5/2p2p1p/p1q3p1/8/8/1n4N1/r4PPN/6K1 b - - 0 1) and then pressing a Go button to see the chessboard, select options from the right-hand side and ask for next move :-) That would be so much easier for me.…

  5. En passant

    It would be nice if there was an option to mark a pawn as susceptible to an "en passant" move.

  6. Fwd backwards arrows

    Please put I'm forward backward arrows like chess.com app. Like if you want to try several move ahead you can hit back a few times till you get to original start point or one at a time then you can try something different Like undo all moves to a start point you can revert back to original starting point etc.

  7. Increments

    Great for plotting moves, but how about a recorded history to be able to shuffle back and forth from the original game state?
    It would mean this could be used as a visual aid to a players own schemes rather than just a calculator.
